Final comment from me... This episode triggered a memory of Brighton's attempt in 1997 to host it's own version of the Love Parade, a kind of free party adjacent attempt to get dance music in to the public realm.
One of the other factors that played into the free party scene was the ability to squat. Squatting hadn't yet been legislated out of existence.
